The world’s largest library, the Library of Congress, is hosting its first free online conference for teachers on October 28-29, 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
CHST (October 27-28, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. EST). The two-day conference will feature 15 one-hour sessions facilitated by LOC specialists, instructional experts from the library’s Teaching with Primary Sources Consortium, and other recognized K-12 leaders. With an emphasis on finding and using primary sources and making the most of the library’s resources in the classroom, these sessions will cover a wide range of topics from literacy and historical thinking to working with visuals, historic newspapers, and cultural artifacts.
